摘要

The research was aims to determine the effect of fermented seaweed (Gracilaria verrucosa) meal in the diet on broiler carcass production. The experiment used is 150 broiler chickens (unsex) 1 week old with an average body weight of 163.38 ± 24.67 g (CV 3.04 %). Design used in this research was Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 5 treatments and 6 replications, so there were 30 cages as experiment units, Each experiment unit consisted of 5 broilers. The treatment includes : T0= Ration without using fermented seaweed meal, T1= Ration using seaweed meal 5%, T2= Ration using fermented seaweed meal 5%, T3= Ration using fermented seaweed meal 7.5%, and T4= Ration using fermented seaweed meal 10%. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) F-test with level 5% and if the result of the analysis showed significant effect of treatment will be followed by Duncan\u27s test. The results showed that treatment using seaweed meal fermented with 5%; 7.5% 10% and 5% using seaweed meal 5% no significant effect on live weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, non carcass weight, percentage of non-carcass and carcass cut portion. The conclution of the research were fermented seaweed meal can be used in the broiler diet until 10%.
